Challenges and achievements

What was the greatest challenge posed by the pandemic so far and how was the problem resolved?

What was our greatest achievement in the context of the pandemic so far and how did we achieve it?

The global pandemic we are facing has not only become a major threat to public health, but the changes it is causing at the economic and social levels have endangered the livelihoods and well-being of millions of people.

The first major challenge we have faced has been to design strategies that will adapt to the changes. In this sense, both adaptability and agility are necessary skills to be able to advance towards these changes with guarantees. Our RAISE Youth Project has been and continues to be a good example of this. Different partners from different regions of Europe have managed to adapt our tasks (new formats and activities) to meet the objectives set out in the Proposal

On the other hand, we have the challenge of training as a way of redirecting the search for employment. Covid19 has forced new lines of training that go beyond mere qualification. Our project also addresses this issue, proposing an innovative and sustainable type of training that is also transversal and complementary to any activity sector.

It is also necessary to talk about digitalisation as a challenge. It is no longer an option but a necessity, both within and outside the framework of the Project. In addition to being a communication and work tool, digitalisation has been accompanied by many advantages in terms of work-life balance, reduced travel times and even greater productivity.

Last but not least, we have to talk about the challenge that Networking has posed for everyone. It has become the new way in which we relate professionally, transferring the face-to-face contacts to the digital environment, and where, in addition, the interrelationship between the RAISE Youth partners, the regional Stakeholders and the potential entrepreneurs who are the object of this project has been favoured.

In conclusion and in general, our greatest achievement within the RAISE Youth Project framework has been to have the capacity to adapt, in an efficient and innovative manner, to all the challenges previously mentioned.

As Darwin said “It is not the strongest that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one more responsive to change.”.
