A Bulgarian project for working with young people was ranked first by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia

A project developed and implemented by two Bulgarian NGOs won the competition “Best in working with young people in 2020”, which was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia in cooperation with the Agency of International Youth programs, the Association of Latvian Municipalities and Association of the Latvian Youth Council and received the award “Bravest Project”.

The CODE project (Competent Opportunities for Digital Employment) was developed by two non-governmental organizations from Ruse, Bulgaria namely the Business Center for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises, together with Human Resources Development Agency. It has been submitted by both organizations and approved by the Norway Fund for Youth Employment. The leading partner in the project is the Human Resources Development Agency.

The project is a result of the long-term experience of both organizations in developing concepts for regional development and innovative training methods. They have been implemented in a number of EU countries and not to such extend through Bulgarian programs.

The innovative and boldpart ofthe project is the methodology for working with young people and the developed pedagogical teaching methods.

The goal of the project is to enable young people from underdeveloped regions to receive quality education in the field of creative industries. The main purpose is young people to stay in their settlements and to work remotely in the fastest growing areas of the creative industries, namely – the gaming industry, animation industry, cinema, etc., which will lead to the development of the respective regions.

The project is implemented with organizations from Italy, Estonia, Greece, Latvia and Romania.

The team of the Latvian partner – Palidzesim.lv Foundation submitted the project application for the competition, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia in cooperation with the Agency of International Youth programs, the Association of Latvian Municipalities and theAssociation of Latvian Youth Council.

On December 28, 2020 CODE project was named the “Bravest Project”!

All project partners would like to thank the EEA and the Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment Fund, as well as the donor countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, for evaluating and funding the project with a 85% grants.
