The charity organization “Palīdzēsim.lv”, whose main target group is young people at social risk, since 2019 has implemented an international project, giving young people the opportunity to learn the basics of graphic design, 3D and animation.
On March 29, the organization “Palīdzēsim.lv” organizes a meeting to inform about the achievements of the project and to present certificates to the project students who have participated in the final stage of training. In order to demonstrate what they have learned in the project, during this meeting students will present the works created during the six-month training courses.
The project was implemented in three stages of training, each for six months, providing an opportunity for 32 young people to acquire digital skills in order to successfully continue to integrate into the labour market or get an education. After the end of the project, seven young people started their careers, four even created their own business. Most of the students (21) still use the knowledge gained in the project in their daily work or business. Within the framework of the project, young people were given the opportunity to gain practical experience when visiting various companies, to get acquainted with the working environment and specifics.
The main objective of the project was to provide high-quality employment opportunities for young people at social risk by developing and implementing a digital skills training programme so that young people who cannot acquire technological knowledge due to financial constraints can acquire them in the form of a course. Co-financing from EuroLive Technologies helps to implement the project also in Latvia.
